Bible verse

Isaiah 12:2

Isaiah 12:2

“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.”

Isaiah 12:2 (King James Version (public domain))

What it means

When God Himself becomes your rescue, fear loses its grip. This is confidence that does not depend on circumstances but on the character of the One who saves. He becomes both the strength inside and the song on your lips. It points ahead to Jesus, whose very name means the Lord saves, and who carries us through the deepest waters. Trusting Him, we can lay down our dread and sing even before the storm has passed, because our salvation is sure.
