Bible verse

Psalm 27:1

Psalm 27:1

“The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

Psalm 27:1 (King James Version (public domain))

What it means

When God is your light, the dark loses its power to terrify, and when He is your salvation, no threat can finally undo you. David names his fear and then names something bigger, the strength of his own life held in steady hands. This is the confidence that carries through in Christ, who called Himself the light of the world and walked out of the tomb. Whatever waits in your shadows today, you are not facing it alone, and the One beside you has already overcome it.
