Bible verse

Jeremiah 1:5

Jeremiah 1:5

“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”

Jeremiah 1:5 (King James Version (public domain))

What it means

Before you took your first breath, God already knew you and had a purpose for your life. Your existence is no accident, and your worth was settled long before anyone weighed in. This truth steadies us when we feel small or unqualified, as Jeremiah did. In Christ that knowing becomes belonging; the God who formed you also came to redeem you. You are wanted, named, and called. Let that ancient love quiet the voice that says you do not matter.
