Who Was Isaiah?
In short
Isaiah was one of the greatest prophets, who spoke God's word to Judah for decades. He saw a vision of the Lord high and lifted up, and answered God's call with 'Here am I; send me.'
More clearly than any other prophet, Isaiah foretold the coming Messiah, the child who would be born, and the suffering servant who would be wounded for our sins.
“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.”
