People of the Bible

Who Was Moses?

In short

Moses was the prophet God used to lead the people of Israel out of slavery in Egypt. Raised in Pharaoh's household, he encountered God in a burning bush and was sent to set his people free.

Through Moses, God parted the Red Sea and gave the Ten Commandments at Mount Sinai. He is remembered as one of the greatest leaders and prophets in the Bible.

“And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face”
