Who Was Caleb?
In short
Caleb was one of the twelve spies sent to scout the Promised Land, and one of only two who trusted God to give Israel victory when the others shrank back in fear.
Because he 'wholly followed the Lord,' God kept him strong; decades later, still full of faith, Caleb claimed his mountain.
“But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it.”
