Biblical joy is not the same as happiness; it is a deep gladness rooted in God, available even in hardship, and it becomes a source of strength. Nehemiah 8:10, Psalm 16:11 and John 15:11 are among the clearest verses about joy. This is a joy the world cannot give and no one can take away (John 16:22).
