The Bible describes heaven as a real place, the very presence of God, prepared by Jesus for His people, where sorrow, pain, and death are no more. Heaven is not an abstraction we hope reaches us; Christ said He goes to prepare a place and will come again to receive us to Himself. He also called Himself the way, the truth, and the life, and said no one comes to the Father but by Him. Heaven is home because Christ is there, and He is the door through which we enter.
