What can look like delay is really God's patience, not wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance.

Jesus promises He is coming quickly to bring His reward, so the waiting is never without purpose.
“He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”

The Bible's closing prayer answers Christ's promise to come with the longing cry, come Lord Jesus.

Because the hour is unknown, Jesus calls you not to fear but simply to be ready at all times.
“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”

In a moment, at the last trumpet, the dead in Christ will be raised imperishable, so death does not have the last word.

For the believer the end times are a blessed hope, the glorious appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ.

Scripture warns that the last days will be perilous, preparing you so that hard times do not shake your faith.
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”

God's final promise is a world where He wipes away every tear and death, sorrow, and pain are gone forever.

Jesus is preparing a place for you and pledges to come again to receive you to Himself.
How these verses point to Christ
These verses are not slogans to prop yourself up. Every true word the Bible speaks about the end times finds its yes in Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20). He is where the end times, rightly understood, was always leading; come to Him and receive what no verse alone can give.
