Good friends are one of God's kindest gifts. The Bible honors faithful friendship and the way we sharpen one another. Proverbs 17:17, Proverbs 27:17, John 15:13 are among the clearest passages.

Jesus calls those who follow Him His friends, offering a friendship deeper than any other you will know.

Christ no longer calls His people servants but friends, sharing with them the very heart of the Father.

A faithful friend is the one who lifts you up when you fall, which is why God made us for company and not isolation.

Abraham was called the friend of God, showing that the deepest friendship of all is the one offered to us by our Maker.
How these verses point to Christ
These verses are not slogans to prop yourself up. Every true word the Bible speaks about friendship finds its yes in Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20). He is where friendship, rightly understood, was always leading; come to Him and receive what no verse alone can give.
