“For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.”
What it means
The Scriptures were not written to bury us in rules but to fill us with hope. Everything recorded long ago teaches us endurance and comfort, so that we might keep believing through hard seasons.
