Bible verse

1 Corinthians 15:58

1 Corinthians 15:58

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

1 Corinthians 15:58 (King James Version (public domain))

What it means

Because Christ has conquered death, Paul urges us to stand firm and give ourselves fully to the Lord's work. Nothing done for Jesus is ever wasted, even when the results are hidden or slow. Your labor of love, your quiet faithfulness, your steady obedience all matter in a way that outlasts this life. When you feel discouraged and tempted to quit, remember the resurrection guarantees your work has lasting worth. Keep going, not in your own strength but in His, for the risen Christ will honor everything done in His name.
