Bible verse

Romans 12:2

Romans 12:2

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Romans 12:2 (King James Version (public domain))

What it means

The world presses us into its mold, its hurries and appetites and fears. Paul calls us instead to be remade from the inside as God renews our thinking. Transformation begins in the mind, in what we let shape our loves. As we soak in Christ and His truth, we begin to see clearly what is good and pleasing to God. This is not straining to be different but being changed by the One who already loves us, until His will becomes our joy.
