Bible verse

Romans 15:13

Romans 15:13

“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”

Romans 15:13 (King James Version (public domain))

What it means

Paul prays that the God of hope would fill his friends to overflowing with joy and peace, so their hope would spill over. Notice the source. Hope is not something we manufacture but something God gives by His Spirit as we trust Him. When believing feels thin, this is a prayer to pray. Because Christ is risen, our hope has a solid floor. He fills the empty and the anxious, turning small faith into abounding, Spirit-fueled expectation.
