Bible verse
Romans 5:8

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
What it means
God did not wait for us to clean ourselves up before He loved us. While we were still turned away, still tangled in sin, Christ went to the cross for us. This is the heart of the gospel. His love is not a reward for the deserving but a gift poured out on the undeserving. If He gave His own Son while we were far off, we can trust that nothing in us could ever outrun that mercy now.
Read it, pray it, live it
On The Living Bread you can read the whole chapter, save this verse, ask Simon to explain it, pray it over your life, and share it with someone who needs it today.
