Bible verse

Romans 10:9

Romans 10:9

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

Romans 10:9 (King James Version (public domain))

What it means

Salvation is closer than we imagine. Paul says it comes not by earning but by trusting, confessed with the mouth and believed in the heart. Own Jesus as Lord, trust that God truly raised Him from the dead, and you are saved. The resurrection is the hinge of it all, God's proof that the cross worked. This is good news for the weary and the failing. You do not climb to God. You simply receive the risen Christ who came down to you.
