Bible verse

2 Corinthians 5:7

2 Corinthians 5:7

“(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)”

2 Corinthians 5:7 (King James Version (public domain))

What it means

Paul describes the whole shape of the Christian life in a few words. We do not steer by what our eyes can measure but by trust in a God we cannot see. Sight would have us give up when circumstances look grim. Faith keeps walking, one step at a time, because it rests on the character of Christ rather than the shifting scenery. When the path is unclear, this is the invitation, to trust the One who sees the end from the beginning.
