Bible verse

Psalm 118:6

Psalm 118:6

“The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?”

Psalm 118:6 (King James Version (public domain))

What it means

If the Lord is truly on our side, the fear of other people loses its grip. It is not that no one can hurt us, but that no one can undo what God holds. This confidence is not bravado; it rests entirely on Whose we are. Because Christ stands with us and for us, we can face opposition without being ruled by it. Whatever others may do, they cannot separate you from the love that has already claimed you as its own.
