“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”
What it means
To all who receive Jesus and trust His name, He gives the astonishing right to become God's own children. This is not something we earn by good behavior or family line; it is a gift welcomed by faith. In Christ our deepest identity changes: no longer outsiders, but sons and daughters loved by the Father. Whatever the world says about us, this belonging cannot be taken away. The One who made all things stoops to call us His own, and receiving Him is the door into that new family.
