Isaiah 43:2
“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.”
What it means
God does not promise a life without deep water or fire. He promises something better: His presence in the middle of it. The floods may rise and the heat may press close, but they will not swallow us whole, because the Lord walks through with us. Suffering is real, yet it is never solitary for those who belong to Him. Jesus entered the deepest waters and the hottest flame of the cross so that nothing we face could ever separate us from His nearness or His keeping.
