Bible verse

Ecclesiastes 3:1

Ecclesiastes 3:1

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:”

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (King James Version (public domain))

What it means

Life moves in seasons, and this verse quietly makes peace with that. There is a right time for everything under heaven, which means the current chapter, whether joyful or painful, is not the final word. Seasons change, and God stands over all of them. This can steady us when we are stuck in a hard stretch or clinging to a good one. In Christ we trust that even the timing of our lives rests in faithful hands, and the One who holds the seasons is leading us toward an ending that will not disappoint.
