Joshua 24:15
“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
What it means
Faith eventually asks for a decision. Joshua refuses to drift and plants a stake: whatever others do, his household will follow the Lord. It is a reminder that no one is neutral; we all serve something, and choosing well takes intention and courage. This is not a one time vow but a daily leaning of the whole life toward God. In Christ that choice becomes a relationship, a glad turning to the One who first chose us. Deciding for Him, again today, shapes not only our own path but our home.
