Bible verse

Deuteronomy 31:6

Deuteronomy 31:6

“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”

Deuteronomy 31:6 (King James Version (public domain))

What it means

Courage is commanded here, but it rests on a promise, not on willpower. We are told not to be afraid because God Himself goes with us and will never walk away. The bravery He asks for grows out of His faithful company, not our nerve. Whatever we are dreading, we do not face it alone or abandoned. This same promise echoes through Scripture and lands fully in Jesus, who pledged to be with us always. Because He will not fail us or forsake us, we can step forward with a steady heart.
