Broken bread and a cup glowing in warm sacred light.

Bible verse

Psalm 73:26

Psalm 73:26

“My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.”

Psalm 73:26 (King James Version (public domain))

What it means

The psalmist admits the worst plainly: body and heart can give out, and one day they will. Yet he finds beneath the failing a foundation that does not crumble, for God Himself is his strength and his lasting inheritance. When everything we lean on grows weak, Christ remains our unshakable portion. He is not one gift among many but the treasure that outlasts our own bodies. If your resources feel spent today, He is enough, and He is yours forever.
