Bible verse

Psalm 1:1

Psalm 1:1

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.”

Psalm 1:1 (King James Version (public domain))

What it means

The blessed life begins with a quiet refusal: not to walk where scorn and cynicism lead, not to sit down comfortably among those who mock what is holy. It is less about avoiding people and more about choosing whose voice shapes you. Christ is the true happy One who walked untainted through our world, and He invites us to follow His steps rather than the crowd's. When we let His word set our direction, our roots go down into water that never fails.
