Bible verse

Mark 16:15

Mark 16:15

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

Mark 16:15 (King James Version (public domain))

What it means

Before returning to the Father, Jesus sends His followers into the whole world with the good news. The message of His death and rising is not meant to stay hidden among a few; it is for every person, every place, every kind of heart. This is our shared calling, to carry hope to those who have never heard. We do not go in our own power but on His authority, trusting that the same Jesus who commissions us also goes with us. Every neighbor is worth the telling.

How can I pray Mark 16:15?

Read it slowly once, then say it back to God in your own words, one phrase at a time. Stop on the phrase that stays with you and stay there. You can also ask the family of God on The Living Bread to pray it with you.

Pray this

Jesus, our Shepherd, nothing about Mark 16:15 is hidden from you. We bring you Mark 16:15, serving. Teach us to love one another, as you have loved us. In the name of Jesus, amen.

Live this

Three small things you can do this week.

  1. Read all of Mark 16 today, not only the one verse.
  2. Write Mark 16:15 where you will see it, and read it aloud at the start and end of the day.
  3. Tell one person what this verse means to you, and ask what verse has carried them.

Where this fits in the walk with Christ

Nothing here is a finish line. It is one door into a life with Christ and with His people.

On The Living Bread you can read the whole chapter, save this verse, ask Simon to explain it, pray it over your life, and share it with someone who needs it today.
