Father, thank You for the life You are forming inside me. I already love this little one, and I am already afraid of all I cannot control. Watch over this pregnancy, day by day. Knit my baby together in health and wholeness, and give this small heart every good thing it needs to grow. Calm my fears about what is ahead, the tests, the delivery, the changes coming to my whole life. When my mind races, quiet it, and let me trust that You knew this child before I did. Care for my body through the tiredness and the aches. Whatever the road holds, hold us both. I give this child to You before I have even held them myself. In the name of Jesus, amen.

Scripture says God 'covered me in my mother's womb' and formed our inmost parts, which means your baby is not hidden from Him even while hidden from you. The wonder of a life 'fearfully and wonderfully made' is unfolding under His eye. When fear rises, take Isaiah's promise to the anxious heart, 'Fear thou not; for I am with thee,' and let it steady you breath by breath. Bring the specific worries, not just the general ones, and lay them down honestly. Let your partner, your friends, and your church pray with you, and do not carry the anxiety of pregnancy in silence. You were made for this, and you were not made to face it without support.

Jesus once grew in a mother's womb, small and unseen, carried through an uncertain journey by a young woman who trusted God through fear. He entered the world the way your child will, fragile and dependent, and He has honored the whole mystery of birth from the inside. The God who knew each of us before we were formed knows the child you carry now, by heart, already loved. When your fears feel too big to name, remember that He drew near to the anxious and the burdened everywhere He went, and He draws near to you. You are not carrying this pregnancy under a distant sky. How do I pray through the fear of something going wrong?
Bring the specific fear to God by name instead of letting it circle silently, because naming it to Him loosens its grip. Praying does not guarantee an easy pregnancy, and it is honest to admit that; what it gives you is the presence of God in whatever comes. Hold to His promise, 'Fear thou not; for I am with thee.' Lean on your medical team for the physical care and on God and trusted people for your heart. You do not have to hold this worry alone, and you are not.
Is it okay to pray for my baby's future when I do not even know them yet?
Absolutely, and it is a beautiful habit to begin now. Scripture shows that God knew and set apart people before they were born, so praying over your child's future is praying in step with a God who is already involved.
