Who Was Philip the Evangelist?
In short
Philip was one of the first deacons of the early church and a bold evangelist who preached the gospel in Samaria with great joy and power.
Led by the Spirit to a desert road, he explained the Scriptures to an Ethiopian official and baptized him, a picture of the gospel reaching to the ends of the earth.
