Who Was Samuel?
In short
Samuel was the last of Israel's judges and a great prophet who first heard God's voice as a boy serving in the temple, answering, 'And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.'
He anointed Israel's first two kings, Saul and David, and led the nation faithfully through a pivotal time.
“And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.”
