God’s Promises for Fear
To the fearful, God promises His presence, His strength, and His help: do not be afraid, for He is with you.
Fear not is God's most repeated promise, spoken not because there is nothing frightening, but because He is greater than all of it.
He promises to strengthen you, to help you, and to hold you fast. His perfect love drives out fear, and His presence steadies the trembling heart.
What God promises, in His own words
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
Isaiah 41:10 · King James Version (public domain)
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”
Psalm 23:4 · King James Version (public domain)
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
2 Timothy 1:7 · King James Version (public domain)
“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee.”

How this points to Jesus
Jesus faced the greatest terror on our behalf and rose victorious, so that even our final fears are disarmed. Every promise against fear is yes in Him. The One who says do not be afraid has walked through the darkness ahead of us and holds our hand within it.
