What Does the Bible Say About Fear?
Do not be afraid is the most repeated command in the Bible, spoken by a God who promises to be with you, to strengthen you, and to hold you fast.
Scripture never pretends there is nothing to fear; it points to Someone greater than what we fear. Over and over God says, fear not, for I am with thee. His presence is the answer to our dread.
The Bible tells us that perfect love casts out fear. As we come to know how deeply God loves us, the grip of fear loosens, and we can face the dark with courage that is not our own.

How this points to Jesus
Jesus faced the greatest terror, the cross, and did not turn away, so that we would never face our fears alone. Because He conquered death, even our final enemy has lost its sting. The One who says fear not has walked through the valley ahead of us and holds our hand within it.
