God’s Promises for Strength

To the weary, God promises His strength: He renews those who wait on Him and carries those who have nothing left.

God does not ask you to be strong; He offers to be your strength. He promises to renew the exhausted and to make His power perfect in our weakness.

When you have run out of your own resources, that is where His begin. He promises to uphold you and to carry you through.

What God promises, in His own words

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

Isaiah 40:31 · King James Version (public domain)

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

Philippians 4:13 · King James Version (public domain)

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”

2 Corinthians 12:9 · King James Version (public domain)

“I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

Isaiah 41:10 · King James Version (public domain)

How this points to Jesus

Christ's power is made perfect in our weakness, so that when we are weak, then we are strong in Him. Every promise of strength is yes in Jesus, who was crucified in weakness yet lives by the power of God. His strength is enough for whatever you face.
