The Fruit of the Spirit: Patience

Galatians 5:22 · King James Version (public domain)

The old word is longsuffering, the grace to bear with people and delays without bitterness. It is the patience God shows us daily, slow to anger and abounding in mercy. The Spirit stretches our capacity to wait, to forgive again, and to keep loving the difficult.

How it grows

Fruit is grown, not forced. It appears as we stay joined to Jesus like a branch to the vine. Read Galatians 5:22 on The Living Bread, ask Simon how to grow in patience, and ask the Spirit for it today. You are welcome exactly as you are.
