The Fruit of the Spirit: Gentleness
Galatians 5:23 · King James Version (public domain)
Gentleness, or meekness, is strength under control, power that chooses to be tender. It is the spirit of Christ, who was gentle and lowly and yet holds the universe. The Spirit teaches us to handle others, and ourselves, with a careful, humble hand.
How it grows
Fruit is grown, not forced. It appears as we stay joined to Jesus like a branch to the vine. Read Galatians 5:23 on The Living Bread, ask Simon how to grow in gentleness, and ask the Spirit for it today. You are welcome exactly as you are.
