Bible verse

Romans 1:16

Romans 1:16

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”

Romans 1:16 (King James Version (public domain))

What it means

Paul refuses to be embarrassed by the message of a crucified Savior, because it is the very power of God to rescue everyone who believes. The gospel is not a weak wish or a nice idea; it changes lives, breaks chains, and brings dead hearts back to life. It is offered to all, near and far, without partiality. When you feel small or afraid to speak of Jesus, remember the gospel carries its own strength. Christ saves through it, and He is worth standing for.
