Bible verse

Psalm 55:22

Psalm 55:22

“Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”

Psalm 55:22 (King James Version (public domain))

What it means

There is a picture here of setting down a weight you were never meant to carry alone and handing it over to Someone strong enough. God does not promise the road will be smooth, only that you will not be shaken loose from His hold. The New Testament picks up this very image, telling us to throw our worries on Him because He genuinely cares. Whatever is pressing on you today, you are allowed to release it. He will hold both the burden and you.
