Bible verse

Proverbs 22:6

Proverbs 22:6

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

Proverbs 22:6 (King James Version (public domain))

What it means

What we pour into a child early tends to shape the whole life, like a young tree bent gently toward the light. This is wisdom, not a mechanical guarantee, and every parent knows children have wills of their own. Still it calls us to a patient, faithful investing that trusts God with the long harvest. The truest thing we can give the young is a way that points to Christ Himself. Plant well, love steadily, and leave the growing years in the hands of the God who never gives up on His own.
