Broken bread and a cup glowing in warm sacred light.

Bible verse

Matthew 21:22

Matthew 21:22

“And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.”

Matthew 21:22 (King James Version (public domain))

What it means

Jesus invites us to pray with real trust, believing that God hears and answers. This is not a promise that we control God like a vending machine, but a call to bring our requests to a Father who loves us and knows what is best. Faith rests in His goodness even when the answer differs from what we imagined. As we walk with Jesus, our prayers align more and more with His heart. Confidence grows not from certainty about outcomes but from certainty about the One we ask.
