What Does the Bible Say About Grace?
Grace is the heart of the gospel: God's unearned favor toward us, saving and loving us not because we are good enough, but because He is good.
The Bible says we are saved by grace through faith, and that not of ourselves; it is the gift of God. Grace means we can stop performing for God's approval and simply receive what Jesus has already done.
Grace is not a license to do whatever we want; it is the power to become who God made us to be. His grace teaches us to say no to sin and yes to a new life, all as a response to love, not a means to earn it.

How this points to Jesus
Grace has a name, and it is Jesus. The law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. He is grace in the flesh, taking what we deserved and giving us what we could never earn. To know Him is to be filled with grace upon grace.
