What Does the Bible Say About Love?
The Bible says God is love, and everything it teaches about love flows from His: patient, kind, self-giving, and proven at the cross.
God's love is not earned but given. He loved us while we were still far from Him, and He calls us to love one another with the same self-giving love He showed us. Love, Scripture says, is the greatest of all.
Real love is more than a feeling; it is patient and kind, it does not envy or boast, it bears all things and never fails. This is the love God pours into our hearts by His Spirit.

How this points to Jesus
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends, and Jesus laid down His for us while we were still His enemies. The cross is the measure of God's love. When we cannot love as we should, His love in us is the source we draw from.
