What Does the Bible Say About Faith?
Faith is trust in the God who has proven trustworthy, believing His word and resting in His character even when we cannot yet see.
The Bible says faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. It is not a leap in the dark but trust in the light of who God is and what He has done.
Faith is a gift, not an achievement, and it grows by hearing God's word. Even faith as small as a mustard seed, placed in a great God, moves mountains.

How this points to Jesus
Jesus is both the author and the finisher of our faith. We do not muster faith from within; we fix our eyes on Him. When our faith is weak, His is strong, and He holds us fast. Faith is simply trusting the One who has never once failed those who came to Him.
