What Does the Bible Say About Humility?
The Bible honors humility as the soil of grace and wisdom, the willingness to see ourselves truly and to put others before ourselves as Christ did.
Humility is not thinking less of yourself but thinking of yourself less. Scripture promises that God lifts up the humble and that with the lowly is wisdom. It is the doorway to grace.
We learn humility by looking at Jesus, who served rather than demanded to be served. As we follow Him, He frees us from the need to be first and gives us the joy of putting others before ourselves.

How this points to Jesus
Jesus said, learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart. The Lord of glory took the lowest place, born in a manger, dying on a cross, so that the humble could be lifted up. To follow Him is to be clothed in a humility that receives grace and finds true rest.
