God’s promises
God’s Promises for Grief
To the grieving, God promises comfort, His nearness, and a coming day when He will wipe away every tear.
God does not rush the grieving or shame their tears. He promises to be close to the brokenhearted and to comfort those who mourn.
He promises that sorrow will not have the last word. For those in Christ, mourning gives way to comfort, and one day to a joy that death cannot touch.

How this points to Jesus
Jesus wept at the grave of His friend, sharing our sorrow, and then He called him back to life. Every promise of comfort is yes in Christ, who conquered death itself. He holds our tears now, and He promises a morning when they will be gone forever.
