A Prayer to Give My Life to Jesus
Maybe you have read enough and you are simply ready. You do not need more explanation; you need to pray. This page is for that. You do not have to feel worthy, and you do not have to say it perfectly. You only have to be honest and turn toward Jesus, who is already turned toward you. Take a breath. You can pray the words below, or your own; God is listening either way. And know this before you begin: the One you are about to speak to has promised that He will in no wise cast out anyone who comes to Him. That includes you, exactly as you are.

The good news, plainly
There is nothing you must accomplish before this prayer works, because it does not work by your effort; it works because Jesus already did everything needed to save you. Come unto me, He said, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. That is His invitation, and this is you accepting it. You are not bargaining with God or promising to be good enough. You are receiving a gift with open hands. So pray slowly, mean it, and trust that He hears. Then, whatever you feel, take Him at His word.
What this means for you
When you pray this and mean it, you are not just reciting; you are crossing over, from running your own life to belonging to Jesus, from standing alone to being held. It is the most important yes a person can say, and heaven notices. Yet it is also only the beginning of a long and good road. You will not be finished growing tomorrow. But you will be His, and He will not let go. So after you pray, do not go looking for a feeling to prove it. Simply begin to live as one who has come home, and let Him lead you from here.
Come to him now
You can pray with confidence because of who is on the other side of the prayer. Though your sins be as scarlet, God says, they shall be as white as snow. Jesus does not receive you grudgingly; He runs to meet returning hearts. He bore your sin on the cross precisely so that this moment could be free, so that coming to Him would cost you nothing but the surrender. So do not hang back. Give Him your life. The same Jesus who welcomed a dying thief with a single day's faith is more than able to welcome you today.

Welcome. Tell someone, a Christian friend, a pastor, or your family, so they can encourage you. Start reading about Jesus in the Gospel of John or Mark, talk to God each day, and find a church family. You do not have to do it perfectly; just keep coming to Him.
What if I prayed but I am not sure I meant it enough?
You do not have to summon a certain intensity for the prayer to count; you have to trust Jesus. If you sincerely want Him and are turning to Him, rest on His promise to receive you rather than on measuring your own feelings. You can also simply pray again, honestly.
Can I really be forgiven for everything, right now?
Yes. When you come to Jesus, He forgives all of it, not most of it, all. Your past does not disqualify you; it is exactly what He came to deal with. He removes it, Scripture says, as far as the east is from the west.
