You are stepping into adulthood: new responsibilities, new freedoms, and big questions about faith, purpose, and the kind of person you want to become. These verses are for young adults, to help you build your life on Christ while everything else is still taking shape.
What God says over young adults
“Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”
Let no one despise your youth; be an example in word and life.
“Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;”
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
Seek first His kingdom, and all these things are added.
“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
Where this all leads
This is the season you set the foundation for the rest of your life. Build it on Jesus, and it will hold when the storms come. You do not have to have it all figured out; you only have to give your one life to the One who gave His for you. Seek Him first now, and He will shape the person you are becoming.
Lord, as I step into adulthood, help me build my life on You. Give me wisdom for big decisions, courage to stand for what is right, and closeness to You in these forming years. Keep me from just following the crowd. Shape me into who You made me to be. In Jesus name, amen.
