The Lost Sheep
The shepherd leaves the ninety-nine to find the one. (Luke 15:3-7, King James Version (public domain))
A shepherd with a hundred sheep loses one and leaves the ninety-nine to search until he finds it. He carries it home on his shoulders, rejoicing, and calls his friends to celebrate.
What it means
Heaven's math is not efficient, it is loving: one soul is worth the search. You are never a number to God. If you have wandered, He is not waiting at home tapping His foot; He is out on the hills, looking for you.
Read it and go deeper
