The miracles of Jesus

Jesus Raises Jairus’ Daughter

He takes a dead girl by the hand: little girl, arise. (Mark 5:21-43, King James Version (public domain))

Jairus begged Jesus to heal his dying daughter, but word came that she had died. Jesus said, do not fear, only believe, went to the house, took her by the hand, and said, little girl, arise, and she got up.

What it reveals about Jesus

To Jesus, death is as reversible as sleep. He speaks tenderly, takes the child by the hand, and gives her back to her parents. Where the crowd said it was too late, He said, only believe.
