Jesus Calms the Storm

Three words still the wind and the waves. (Mark 4:35-41, King James Version (public domain))

A fierce squall threatened to swamp the boat while Jesus slept. The terrified disciples woke Him, and He stood and said, Peace, be still. The wind dropped and the sea went glassy calm.

What it reveals about Jesus

The One asleep in the boat is the One the wind and sea obey. Jesus is present in our storms, and both the storm and our fear need a word from Him. The real question the miracle raises is theirs: who then is this?
