Jesus Cleanses the Leper

A leper, whom no one would go near, knelt before Jesus and said, if you are willing, you can make me clean. Moved, Jesus reached out and touched him, saying, I am willing; be clean, and the leprosy left him at once.
What it reveals about Jesus
Jesus does what the law forbade and love required: He touches the untouchable. He is willing, and His willingness is the answer to our deepest fear that we are too unclean to be loved. His touch does not catch our disease; it heals it.
