God’s Promises for Answered Prayer
God promises to hear and answer the prayers of His people, inviting us to ask, seek, and knock with confidence.
God promises that He hears every prayer prayed according to His will, and that He answers, sometimes with yes, sometimes with something better than we asked.
He invites persistent, believing prayer and pledges to respond. No honest prayer falls to the ground unheard.
What God promises, in His own words
“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth.”

“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”

How this points to Jesus
Through Jesus we can come boldly to the throne of grace, and in His name our prayers are heard. Every promise of answered prayer is yes in Him, who always lives to intercede for us. When we pray, we are not shouting into silence; we are heard by a Father who loves to answer.
